Building masters now retain usable crafting ingredients in The Guild 1 Remake: Europa 1410 unless storage is completely full. The Hotfix 0.4.1 notes, posted September 19 UTC, confirm the change is available on Steam.

Masters get stock and crafting fixes

The ingredient rule covers storefront and cart sales. The update also corrects masters failing to produce goods with multiple ingredients and adds an action to remove a building master.

Storage capacity still matters: a full store is the stated exception to ingredient protection. Check that condition before treating another sale as the same bug.

Empty-cart use is a temporary restriction

Masters now use only empty carts. The developer says a fuller management tool will follow, without giving a release date. Repeated arrival announcements from master-managed carts have been removed.

AI attacks on carts are less frequent, target more valuable carts and no longer happen immediately after dispatch. The patch also includes UI and AI processing changes intended to reduce brief freezes, particularly in Nuremberg.

Recheck an automated workshop's stock and production after updating. If 0.4.1 causes problems, the developer has kept the previous release available through Steam's version_0.4.0 branch.
