The Sinking City 2's Major Update 1.1 is live, and it gives players a better reason to return than a pile of balance numbers. The patch adds HDR and AMD FSR support, retunes several rough encounters, and brings the Steam demo back with save carryover into the full game.

If you finished the current build and want a clean replay, Pure New Game starts a fresh playthrough. Inventory slot and weapon upgrades also carry into Ex Oblivione, and duplicate upgrades now pay out Dream Essence instead.

The Demo Is Back With A Better On-Ramp

The Steam demo is available again after the update. Frogwares says saves carry over to the full game, so a demo run can now do more than show you the opening atmosphere before you decide whether Arkham is worth the trip.

That makes this update useful for two groups: players who bounced off the first build and people who want to test the revised performance before committing to a longer run. The announcement does not promise that every setting or future save will transfer, so treat the carryover as the demo-to-full-game path the developer described.

New Game Options And Combat Tuning

Pure New Game is the clean reset option for players who want to replay without carrying the finished file forward. Ex Oblivione also now carries inventory slot and weapon upgrades, which removes one of the more awkward parts of repeating the late game.

Frogwares also reduced enemy counts and wave compositions in encounters it says were overwhelming. Explosive props should read more clearly, the Grenade Launcher hits harder, and several weak-point and boss behaviors were corrected. This is not a new campaign, but it changes how a few of the game's pressure points feel when you return.

HDR, FSR And A Long List Of Repairs

On PC, Update 1.1 adds HDR output, HDR10+ support, an HDR calibration screen, multi-monitor HDR handling, AMD FSR 4.1.1 and a Legacy mode for NVIDIA DLSS. Frogwares also lists performance fixes for several areas, shader and hitching problems, graphics-preset crashes, and a collection of progression and puzzle issues.

The full patch is large because it goes deep into individual rooms, enemies, navigation problems and crashes. Players who stopped because of a hard lock, repeated hitch, or a broken encounter should check the current build before assuming the old problem is still there.

Update 1.1 is live now. The demo return, save carryover, Pure New Game and Ex Oblivione changes are the parts worth checking first; the rest of the patch is there to make the trip through Arkham less likely to fall apart for technical reasons.
