WARDOGS Season 02 Adds New Gear, but the Wager Vendor Is Still a Test
WARDOGS Season 02 adds weapons, vehicles and rain on October 15, with helmet trade-offs, faction incentives and an experimental wager vendor planned during the season.
WARDOGS Season 02 is scheduled for October 15, 2026, with four weapons, four vehicles and rain. BULKHEAD's October 9 preview also outlines an optional wager vendor planned during the season, new trade-offs for Super Heavy Helmets and changes to faction rewards.
This is a preview, not the final patch notes. Exact balance changes and the maintenance window are due early next week. The important part for returning players is that familiar gear and spending decisions are being revised alongside the new equipment.
You can wager cash, but the vendor is an experiment
The wager vendor lets you choose objectives, set how many deaths you are willing to spend completing them, then stake game cash. Tasks include kills in the hotzone and transporting players. Combining objectives lengthens the odds and increases the possible payout; a tracker above the minimap shows your progress.
It is optional. BULKHEAD also says it may remove the feature during Season 02 if it becomes too exploitable. Treat it as an Early Access test, not a guaranteed way to earn money. Any advice about the best wagers needs to wait until the system is playable.
New weapons, vehicles and construction pieces
The weapon additions cover four categories: the TCX Spear assault rifle, M14 DMR, PP-19 Bizon SMG and Evo-3 Ultra LMG. Supporting attachments are coming too. Molotovs add thrown fire that damages players in its radius and denies space, with overarm and underarm throws.

The Wolf-110 is a light transport, while its Assault variant carries a ring-mounted M2 Browning. The T-72 adds a main battle tank that is slower than the Leopard but cheaper and more fuel-efficient. The Flakpanzer Gepard is the new anti-air vehicle.
Builders get an MG Nest with a manned M2 Browning, a Large Shelter for covering assets and a Wooden Step. There are no final unlock costs or damage figures in this preview, so do not build a spending plan around guessed prices.
Rain and helmets change what you can hear
The new rain preset affects visibility, engagement distances and sound. Rain interacts with the environment, including damaged and destroyed structures. Thunder is synchronized across the server and can briefly mask footsteps. That gives movement another timing consideration, rather than simply making the map look wet.

Super Heavy Helmets will muffle audio, restrict your field of view and fog while sprinting. Heavy and Super Heavy helmets also gain suppression resistance. Those protection benefits come with drawbacks you will need to consider when picking gear.
Infrared rangefinders will require batteries. BULKHEAD is also adjusting weapon damage, recoil and suppression to give weapon classes clearer roles. The direction is confirmed; the finished values are not.
Lonestar gets seasonal incentives, not permanent perks
Lonestar receives cash and XP win bonuses and multipliers for Season 02 only. Its uniforms become less saturated so they stand out less, and all faction spawns move on Bakurani. BULKHEAD describes the reward changes as an experiment aimed at Lonestar's lower win rate and player reluctance to choose the faction.
A separate vendor discount is available to any losing faction: 20% off when it is at least 40 points behind second place. That last detail matters. Being 40 points behind the leader is not the rule described in the official preview.
BULKHEAD also warns that community server hosts exploiting the faction bonus will be punished. There is no reason to treat the extra rewards as an invitation to farm an exploit.
The official Road to Season 02 devlog accompanies the preview below. Before October 15, check the final notes for equipment values, progression changes and maintenance timing. New toys are worth a look, but the helmet penalties, faction rules and experimental economy are the changes to understand before spending your cash.
