007 First Light has received its first major free DLC. Extended Operations is live with New Game Plus, a harder 00 difficulty, Photo Mode and two new TacSim operations built around a weaponized Aston Martin and a heist that changes between attempts.

This is bigger than a repair pass. IO Interactive says Update 1.3.0 also contains more than 700 fixes and improvements, but the reason to return is the new playable content.

New Game Plus lets Bond keep more options open

New Game Plus becomes available after completing the campaign. Players can change outfits through the journal and swap gadgets during missions, although story progression still controls when each gadget is available.

That gives a second run more room for experimentation without throwing the campaign's unlock order away. It is not a completely unrestricted sandbox from the opening mission, but it should make revisiting earlier assignments less rigid.

00 difficulty is waiting after the campaign

The new 00 difficulty also requires a completed campaign. Enemies spot Bond faster, deal more damage and leave fewer opportunities to restore gadgets.

IO frames it as the new top challenge rather than a replacement for the existing settings. The combination of harsher detection and tighter gadget recovery means brute-forcing a messy infiltration will cost more. Players who already know the routes are the target here.

TacSim gets a car chase and a variable heist

Valhalla Protocol is a new Slovakia TacSim activity starring a weaponized Aston Martin Valhalla. Jungle Heist takes Bond to The Pearl in Vietnam, with the operation changing across attempts rather than asking players to repeat one fixed solution.

Two more TacSim weapons arrive with them. The Storm 12 Gauge unlocks at Clearance Level 20 for 6,000 Intel, while the Squire Marksman Rifle requires Clearance Level 18 and 4,000 Intel.

Photo Mode and the smaller additions

Photo Mode joins the game alongside new outfits and the ability to pet Jack the Bulldog. Players who log in before November 1 can claim the Grey Standard outfit as an IOI Account reward. A separate Twitch Drop campaign runs from October 1 through October 16.

IO says more content is in development, but it has not attached dates or details to that promise. For now, Extended Operations gives finished agents three solid reasons to return: a more flexible campaign replay, a serious difficulty step and new standalone missions. The official Extended Operations announcement contains the complete update notes and reward requirements.
