007 First Light's Nintendo Switch 2 release has been delayed to March 2027. IO Interactive's September 15 announcement gives a month, with the exact launch day to be announced later.

Why is the Switch 2 version delayed?

IO says it needs additional time to polish performance on Switch 2. The delay notice does not provide a frame-rate target or identify specific technical problems, so it cannot tell buyers how the finished port will run.

Will progress carry over from another version?

Switch 2 cross-progression details remain unannounced. IO's cross-progression support page separately confirms the March 2027 window and says information for Nintendo's platform will follow.

The current system on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series consoles shares selected online progress, including Tac Sim levels. It does not transfer campaign progress or save games. Those existing rules do not confirm what Switch 2 will support.

If carrying an existing campaign onto Switch 2 is your reason to buy a second copy, wait for explicit confirmation before spending the money.
