Reach 1400 gear score in AION 2 by finishing the gear rewards and progression points you already have before spending Odyle Energy on replacement gear. The practical route is story and regional quests, sealed dungeons, Daevanion, then controlled enhancements and inexpensive sockets. Keep your scarce energy available for the next dungeon tier instead of buying the same early progress twice.

This guide covers Global launch-week progression after level 45. It is a resource-conscious route, not a tested speedrun or a promise that every class reaches 1400 for the same amount of Kina. Check the current item tooltip and dungeon entry screen if a later update changes a requirement.

1. Finish the story gear and fill missing slots

Reaching level 45 is not the same as finishing your equipment. Work through the remaining main story and regional quest chains before buying accessories or rushing into repeated reward-box farming.

Look for rewards that fill empty accessory and Clash Rune slots. Equip improvements as you receive them, then replace temporary pieces when the later quest rewards become available. An empty slot is a more useful first problem to solve than an expensive extra enhancement on something you will soon replace.

Check quest rewards for your own faction. Elyos and Asmodian pieces can have different names, so use the slot, grade and actual stats rather than expecting one faction's item name to appear in the other's journal.

2. Clear sealed dungeons and strongholds

Finish the sealed dungeons and home-faction strongholds you skipped while leveling. They belong in the progression route because of their rewards, including materials that feed your gear and Daevanion progress.

Do the cleanup in sensible map groups rather than bouncing between unrelated activities after every small gain. Claim the rewards and check your inventory when you return to town. Unopened rewards and unused upgrade materials do not help you reach the next entry threshold.

3. Use your Daevanion crystals, then choose useful nodes

Check for Daevanion crystals in your inventory, use the available items, and spend the resulting points on the board. Collecting crystals is only the first part; the learned nodes are what make the progression useful.

Favor nodes connected to the skills you actually use. This is not a class-by-class board build, so do not follow a generic recommendation past the point where your own skills need a different choice.

Nightmare and Shugo Festival shops are additional places to inspect for Daevanion crystals bought with those activities' currencies. Compare them with the other progression items you need, especially skill upgrades. If you are just short of 1400, crystals may help cross the gate, but a higher gear score is not a reason to neglect your usable abilities.

4. Buy cheap enhancement levels before expensive ones

Start with the affordable levels on blue quest equipment. Around +5 is a sensible first stopping point in the launch-week route. Recheck your score and the next cost before pushing farther; making every temporary blue piece +10 is not the default plan.

Treat your main story weapon and guard differently from quickly replaced armor. They may justify a larger investment, but check the enhancement-transfer rules for the exact item you plan to replace them with. Do not assume every invested material, socket or upgrade will carry across.

Clash Runes also need a separate check. Read the failure result before raising their level. A rune attempt with destruction risk is not interchangeable with an ordinary armor upgrade. Keep usable runes equipped rather than gambling a filled slot away for a small score increase.

5. Review belt, amulet and inexpensive sockets

Inspect your belt and amulet Substance Morph recipes. Quest and exploration rewards may have already supplied some of what you need for a grade upgrade. Check the recipe, remove or prepare the item as the menu requires, and review the full cost before confirming.

If only a small gap remains, check empty sockets and inexpensive mana-stone options before spending on a market replacement. Review weapon and guard socket options too. Use the cheapest appropriate material that solves the current problem, while keeping stronger socket items for equipment worth that investment.

Do not confuse a transferable enhancement level with a transferable socket investment. Verify each separately. This is also a good moment to check that a promising item is actually equipped, not merely sitting in your bag.

6. Save Odyle Energy without losing recovery

Launch-week progression guidance places the 1400 conquest tier ahead of the lower-tier reward boxes as the main energy target. Keep working through the quest, Daevanion and inexpensive-upgrade gains while those gains remain available.

There is an important exception: do not leave Odyle Energy sitting at its recovery cap. Check the meter before a long break. If you are close to filling it, use enough to avoid losing natural recovery instead of applying an absolute rule to save every point.

Also distinguish entering content from paying for its energy-based reward. Inspect the reward screen before committing. A low-tier run being available does not mean spending your energy there is the best next step.

At 1400, check the character, not just the number

Before another expensive attempt, audit your equipped quest rewards, learned Daevanion nodes, affordable enhancements, belt and amulet recipes, and cheap sockets. Stop spending once that next threshold is reached unless the next upgrade has a clear combat purpose.

Gear score and combat readiness are different checks. Look at combat power, your skills, survivability and the party's roles alongside the dungeon's entry requirements. Reaching 1400 is permission to attempt the next tier, not a guarantee of clearing it.

For a fresh 45 character, the useful target is 1400 with resources left for the dungeons you are trying to unlock. Finish the earned upgrades first, avoid expensive temporary gear, and keep Odyle recovery working while you prepare.
