What Should You Buy First in AION 2's Halloween Shop?
AION 2's Halloween shop is generous, but its weekly limits still punish late decisions. Use this order to protect the rare rewards and spend the rest around your build.
AION 2's first global Halloween event looks more complicated than it is. Pumpkin Coins come from a 14-day attendance track and ten weekly event missions, while Candy Key Fragments come from Expedition and Transcendence. The two currencies never compete, so the safest plan is to handle them separately.
The event runs until the November 3 maintenance in North America and the November 4 maintenance in Europe. Attendance pays 620 Pumpkin Coins in total. Completing all ten event missions adds 235 coins per weekly reset, which brings the three-week maximum to 1,325.
That is enough to clear the useful shop if you stay current. The real risk is missing weekly limits, spending before reserving the 250-coin chest, or treating the three Candy Keys as equal. These seven priorities keep the event simple.
1. Reserve 250 Coins for the Special Halloween Chest
Put the Special Halloween Chest at the top if you want the event-exclusive reward. It costs 250 Pumpkin Coins, is limited to one per server, and contains the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin plus 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals.
The chest is not the best pure progression purchase for every account, but it is the one item you cannot recreate after the event. Current creator breakdowns also agree that the 250-coin reserve is the cleanest first move. The attendance track alone pays more than enough to cover it, so there is no reason to gamble the cosmetic on late mission clears.
If you do not care about the skin or Pet Soul Crystals, you can skip it and push those coins into repeatable materials. Make that choice deliberately. Buying a handful of cheap consumables first and discovering you are short on the final day is the bad version of this event.
2. Buy the Weekly Odyle Energy Before the Shop Resets
Odyle Energy is the most broadly useful weekly purchase for a level 45 character. The event merchant sells four per server each week at 10 coins apiece. That is only 40 coins for a resource tied directly to progression runs.
The weekly cap is the important part. Unbought stock does not roll into a larger final-week allowance, so this is the purchase to make before experimenting with food or unlimited Power Shards. Players with several characters should also note that the Halloween merchant limit is per server, not per alt.
The same patch temporarily raised the separate Wind Breeze Merchant limit for bound Odyle Energy to 20 per character during the transfer period. That makes this a strong week for Odyle planning, but the two shops have different rules. Do not confuse the event merchant's four-per-server stock with the separate character-based offer.
3. Take Nightmare Tickets If You Are Still Pushing the Statue
Nightmare Dungeon Challenge Tickets cost seven coins each, with three available per server every week. For 21 coins, they provide extra attempts at content many fresh level 45 characters already need.
This is where account goals start to matter. If Nightmare progression and its statue rewards are still part of your weekly route, buy the tickets early. One current creator breakdown singled them out because extra challenges can move that progression sooner instead of leaving it to the normal schedule.
If Nightmare is not a priority for your character, move this purchase below Daily Dungeon tickets or Shugo Festival keys. The event gives enough currency to buy broadly, but the best order still follows the activities you will actually complete.
4. Compare Lower Abyss Rift Stones With the Kina Event Offer
The Halloween merchant sells two Lower Abyss Rift Stones per server each week for 30 Pumpkin Coins each. That is a meaningful 60-coin weekly expense, so PvE-focused players should not buy them automatically.
A separate Conquerors of the Abyss event runs on an earlier deadline and offers Rift Stones for 50,000 Kina, up to seven per character per week. Check that offer before spending Pumpkin Coins. If Abyss time is central to your build, the Halloween stones still add useful access. If it is not, 60 coins may do more work in tickets, resurrection items, or Life Crystals.

This is also the purchase most likely to change order between players. A PvP-focused account can move Rift Stones directly behind Odyle Energy. Everyone else should treat them as an informed choice instead of a mandatory buy.
5. Clear the Cheap Weekly Utility Items You Will Use
Three weekly offers are inexpensive enough to clean up after the major progression decisions: Daily Dungeon Instant Clear Tickets cost three coins each, Nightmare tickets cost seven, and Shugo Festival Reward Keys cost seven. Each is capped weekly per server.
The Daily Dungeon tickets are the easiest value if you already run the activity and want to save time. Shugo keys make sense when that event is part of your routine. Resurrection Spiritstones are even cheaper at two coins each, with ten available per week, and they are useful insurance for harder content.
Do not buy a ticket merely because the price is low. A cheap item left unused is still wasted currency. Match the utility stock to the content on your actual weekly checklist, then purchase before the reset removes the opportunity.
6. Use Life Crystals and Food to Fill Specific Gaps
Life Crystals, Halloween Candy, and Halloween Cookies use per-character limits rather than the shop's weekly server limits. That makes them safer to leave until after the weekly stock is handled.
Life Crystals cost two coins each and can be purchased 20 times per character. The Candy and Cookies also cost two each, with ten of each available per character. Candy raises attack, defense, and maximum stamina; Cookies raise maximum HP, maximum MP, and stamina. Both improve natural stamina regeneration.
These are good gap-fillers, especially if the food buffs line up with content you plan to run. They are a weaker first purchase than a limited chest or a weekly progression resource because you can decide on them later without losing a reset. Spend here after you know the important server-wide stock is secure.
7. Craft Blue Candy Keys First for General Progression
Candy Keys use a completely separate currency. Expedition and Transcendence award Candy Key Fragments, and 60 fragments craft one Red, Yellow, or Blue Key through Substance Morph. Each color can be crafted once per server per week.
For general progression, Blue is the strongest first key. It opens the Blue Candy reward containing four Odyle Energy and ten Resurrection Spiritstones, plus the shared Halloween food. Two current creator guides independently put Blue first for the Odyle Energy.
Red is the better specialist choice if Pet growth is your bottleneck because it pays 20 Growth Pet Chests and ten Battle Enhance Scrolls. Yellow gives 10,000 Abyss Points and ten Life Crystals, making it the natural choice for Abyss-focused players. The ideal week clears all three, but Blue is the safest answer when fragments or time are limited.
The Simple Weekly Order
Claim attendance, then clear the ten Event missions under Season Mission before the weekly reset. Expedition and Transcendence deserve early slots because they advance Pumpkin Coin missions while also dropping Candy Key Fragments.
At the merchant, protect the 250-coin chest if you want it. Buy the weekly Odyle Energy, then choose Nightmare tickets or Rift Stones according to your account. Clear the cheap utility items you will use and leave per-character food, Life Crystals, and unlimited Superior Power Shards for last.
A full run pays 1,325 Pumpkin Coins. Buying the chest, all weekly stock across three resets, and every per-character limited item costs about 1,104, leaving roughly 221 for Superior Power Shards. You do not need a perfect spreadsheet to finish the shop. You do need to claim attendance, respect the weekly caps, and avoid spending the event's rare currency on the unlimited filler first.
