Before You Transfer in AION 2, Empty Your Server Storage
Shared storage contents stay behind, extra destination slots cost Quna, and Launch servers have a later transfer week.
Before an AION 2 server transfer, move the items and Kina you want out of Server Storage. NC's detailed transfer instructions say those shared-storage contents will not follow your characters. Put them in a selected character's Cube inventory or Character Storage before applying.
There is a second planning change: October 14 is not the opening date for every server. Early Access servers get the first transfer week, and Launch servers get the following week. The base move is free, but expanding character slots on the destination costs Quna.
Match your server group to its week
Early Access transfers open after maintenance on October 13 PDT / October 14 CEST and close before October 20 PDT / October 21 CEST maintenance. Launch transfers open after October 20/21 maintenance and close before October 27 PDT / October 28 CET maintenance. These are maintenance-dependent windows, not confirmed midnight opening times.
Moves must stay within the same faction and region. Early Access characters can move only to other Early Access servers. Both the departure server and destination have transfer capacity limits; already owning a character on the destination does not bypass them.
NC allows one transfer request per account across the entire period, from one origin server to one destination. That request can include multiple eligible characters from the origin server. Decide the full character selection before committing, rather than planning several separate moves.
Count destination slots before calling it free
The base charge is 0 Quna, and NC lists 0 Quna per transferred character. Each additional destination character slot costs 1,000 Quna. Purchased character slots on the old server stay there.
NC's example is six characters moving to a server with four available slots: the two extra slots add 2,000 Quna. If the selected characters exceed the destination's maximum expandable capacity, the transfer cannot proceed. Check available space as well as the expansion price.
Clear the claims that block an application
Eligible characters must be level 10 or higher. The character applying must be in a village, not inside the Abyss, a Spacetime Rift or a dungeon. It must have no Legion membership, pending Legion application or active Duty missions.
Resolve Market listings, pending items and uncollected proceeds. Collect Shop Storage items, including any unclaimed Founder's Pack, and claim mail for the characters you are moving. Leaving those claims outstanding can prevent the service from accepting the request.
Character Storage and its purchased expansion slots move with the character. Server Storage follows a different rule: only its expansion record transfers, using whichever server has the higher expanded slot count. That does not move its contents. Check the shared-storage Kina separately from the money already held by each selected character.

Check application hours, not just opening week
For NA East, NA West and South America, the published daily application windows are 9 AM to 1 PM and 3 PM to 7 PM PDT. Those correspond to noon to 4 PM and 6 PM to 10 PM EDT.
Before Europe's October 25 clock change, those same windows are 5 PM to 9 PM and 11 PM to 3 AM the next day BST; 6 PM to 10 PM and midnight to 4 AM the next day CEST. In Sydney and Melbourne, they are 3 AM to 7 AM and 9 AM to 1 PM the following day AEDT.
Europe-region servers and Asia-region servers have different application hours. NC lists Europe at 3 AM to 7 AM and 9 AM to 1 PM PDT; Asia at 8 PM to midnight and 2 AM to 6 AM PDT. Use the schedule for your server region, not the NA schedule merely because its converted clock matches where you live. Recheck the official schedule and application screen around the October 25 European clock change; NC's notice uses combined CEST/CET labels without a clear date-specific changeover table.
Check what the characters staying behind will lose
NC says Pets and Closet items move to the destination and are removed from the origin server. Characters left there can no longer equip those transferred collections. Active Membership moves and combines with Membership on the destination too. Moving only part of your roster therefore has consequences for the rest.

Every transferred character gets a temporary name, even if its old name is not already taken. Choose a new name on the first destination login; an existing name there prevents keeping your old one.
Once a transfer request is completed, it cannot be canceled or reverted. Finish the storage cleanup, check the characters you are leaving behind, and confirm destination capacity before submitting through In-Game Shop > Server Transfer. A free base price is not a reason to rush an irreversible choice.
