NC is temporarily removing Sanctuary Raid: Ludra from AION 2's full Global launch build, along with Ludra-specific gear earned during Early Access. The team promises to return that equipment when the revised raid arrives and reimburse materials previously spent upgrading it.

The immediate consequence is a break in raid access and a temporary equipment change for affected players. NC has committed to restoration, but its announcement does not give a return date or a delivery schedule for the items and materials.

What happens to earned Ludra gear?

The removal applies to Ludra-specific equipment obtained during Early Access. NC says those items will be granted back to the players who earned them when Sanctuary Raid: Ludra returns. Materials already invested in upgrading those pieces will also be reimbursed.

That is a restoration promise, rather than an announcement that the loot is permanently lost. It also does not describe a wider reset of characters or unrelated equipment. Keep the scope clear: the notice concerns this raid and its gear.

For anyone who earned those pieces, the missing detail is how the temporary removal affects their setup until the raid returns. NC has not explained the item-return process, the reimbursement method, or the precise timing beyond linking restoration to Ludra's return. Those details still need a follow-up announcement.

Why the Global encounter is changing

NC says Early Access groups defeated Ludra at a lower level of overall progression than the team intended. It credits players for learning the mechanics and building effective strategies, while arguing that the Global launch should give groups a fresh encounter to solve.

The revised raid will retain its core identity, but NC plans new and adjusted mechanics and attack patterns for the Global version. Earlier clears should still provide useful experience. They will not establish that every existing strategy works against the replacement fight.

There are no complete revised mechanic notes in this announcement. Treat older Ludra walkthroughs as background until the new version's details are available, especially before committing a group to a specific strategy or schedule.

Recognition for Europe clears and a new race

Every Daeva who cleared Ludra in Europe during Early Access is promised a unique commemorative title. The regional scope matters: this particular title commitment names Europe, rather than every region.

Ludra's return will also bring a new First Clear event with a unique reward. NC says the in-game Hall of Fame will be reset for that release so the revised encounter gets a new race and its own recognition.

The title recognizes the earlier achievement. The new race is for the revised fight. Neither announcement supplies the full event rules or reward details yet.

October 16 is the deadline for a date announcement

NC says it will share Ludra's new release date by October 16, alongside more information about the return and First Clear event. It has not confirmed that the raid itself will reopen on October 16.

Until that date announcement arrives, leave Ludra out of any progression plan that depends on guaranteed access this week. The next useful update needs to establish the actual opening day and explain when affected players receive their equipment and upgrade materials.
