Battlefield 6 Season 5: Three Vegas Maps and a Faster Royale
Battlefield 6 Season 5 is heading to Las Vegas with three maps across the season, two at launch, new weapons and a faster Rapid Royale mode for REDSEC.
Battlefield 6 is taking its next season to Las Vegas. Season 5 will introduce three maps set around the city across the season, with two available at launch, alongside new weapons and a faster version of REDSEC called Rapid Royale.
Electronic Arts has not yet published the complete seasonal calendar in this announcement. The update instead lays out the major additions and several changes being prepared for Battle Royale, Portal and vehicle combat.
Vegas is more than one map
The three-map plan is the clearest sign that Las Vegas will define the whole season rather than serve as a single launch location. Two maps will arrive when Season 5 begins, while the third is planned for later in the season.
New weapons are also confirmed, although their names, classes and unlock requirements were not detailed. That leaves the launch-day sandbox incomplete for now, but the scope is already broader than a routine balance update.
Rapid Royale changes the pace of REDSEC
Rapid Royale is designed as a shorter, quicker Battle Royale format. Solos and Trios are planned for the new mode. The current Solos and Duos rotation will end when the season starts, with Electronic Arts saying Duos is intended to return later.
Gauntlet is being removed from the active playlist because of low participation. REDSEC is also due to receive reconnect support, while armor plating in Battle Royale will be 20 percent faster.
Portal and vehicle changes are coming too
Season 5 is expected to adjust vehicles and expand Portal with water, map and point-of-interest updates. The announcement does not provide every tuning value, so those details should wait for the final notes rather than be inferred from the preview.
The important shift is the direction of the season: a multi-map Vegas theme, a quicker Battle Royale option and broader support changes across REDSEC and Portal. The official Battlefield 6 community update contains the confirmed preview, with the full launch breakdown still to come.
