What to make here

Build the Furnace for 20 Dirt Blocks so Copper Ore becomes usable bars. A Cooking Pot costs 2 Wood and 4 Copper Bars; a Salvage and Repair Station costs 5 Wood and 5 Copper Bars. These are separate stations, not recipes you perform inside the workbench.

If a recipe seems missing

Check the station you are interacting with. Hand crafting, workbench construction and processing in a placed station are different steps. Smelting ore is not the same as having bars in your inventory.

Useful next crafts

A Copper Pickaxe costs 4 Wood and 2 Copper Bars. The Small Backpack costs 5 Wood and 2 Copper Bars. The Copper Anvil costs 8 Copper Bars and handles armor and weapon recipes, so keep some metal for that station rather than spending every bar on your pickaxe.

Leave room for Tin

The Tin Workbench is crafted here. Find Tin Ore in the Clay Caves and smelt it into Tin Bars; the next station requires both Copper and Tin, not just the new metal.

Plan the next purchases

An Alchemy Table costs 8 Wood, 8 Slime and 5 Tin Bars. An Automation Table costs 5 Copper Bars and 8 Tin Bars. For Iron progression, the Table Saw costs 8 Wood, 5 Copper Bars and 5 Iron Bars; the Iron Workbench then needs Planks as well as metal.

A useful carrying upgrade

The Explorer Backpack costs 5 Tin Bars and 10 Fiber. Check whether carrying capacity is ending your trips before committing the same Tin to an optional station.

Table Saw

Wood is not Plank. The saw must have electricity before it can process it.Click for more detailsClick to collapse

Make your first Planks

  1. Craft and place the Table Saw.
  2. Provide electricity through your base's power setup; the saw does not run just because it has Wood.
  3. Insert Wood and collect Planks. The listed conversion is one Wood to one Plank.
  4. Reserve 10 Planks for an Iron Workbench before spending them on other construction.

If it sits idle

Check power, input and output space. Coral Wood makes a different Plank type; it is not a replacement for ordinary Planks in this Iron Workbench recipe.

Iron Workbench

Requires 10 Planks, not 10 raw Wood. Keep Tin Bars after reaching Iron.Click for more detailsClick to collapse

Before you craft

Make Planks at a powered Table Saw. The saw's own construction costs are extra: if you have neither station, budget 20 Iron Bars in total for the saw and this workbench, plus their other listed materials.

What this opens

The Iron Anvil costs 10 Iron Bars. The Smelter Kiln costs 5 Tin Bars and 5 Iron Bars. An Iron Pickaxe also needs 4 Wood, 4 Iron Bars and 1 Gold Bar; simply unlocking the station does not mean you already have every material for its tools.

Salvage and Repair Station

Keep a repair stop beside your storage instead of replacing worn gear every trip.Click for more detailsClick to collapse

Use it between expeditions

Interact with the station to repair worn equipment. Repair inputs depend on the item, so inspect the displayed requirement rather than assuming every tier uses Copper. Salvaging breaks an item down; it is not another name for repairing it.

Before a boss attempt

Repair the weapon, tools and armor you are actually taking. A new workbench does not fix the equipment already in your inventory. Keep valuable spare gear out of an accidental salvage action.
