Yes. Cyberpunk 2077's version 2.5 notes say achievements and trophies cannot be earned while playing on console from a modded save. CD Projekt Red published the warning on October 21 alongside details of the new in-game mod browser. Keep that restriction in mind before using a trophy-focused playthrough to try community content.

The browser uses mod.io and lets players install a selection of player-created mods from the game menu. More mods are planned over time. That is not a promise that every existing PC mod, framework or collection will be available on your console.

Load Game will mark modded saves with a dedicated icon. Saves will also be grouped by separate playthroughs, making it easier to distinguish different runs. The warning is specifically about playing a modded file on console; these notes do not establish the same achievement rule for PC.

Keep an unmodded save for your trophy run

Preserving a separate unmodded file is the cautious choice if you still want to finish achievements. Do that before experimenting, rather than assuming you can remove a mod later and continue as though the file had never used one.

The patch notes do not explain whether removing every mod restores eligibility for an affected save. They also do not provide a verified procedure for converting a modded file back into an achievement-eligible one. Treat those as unanswered questions, not steps in a recovery guide.

The October 22 rollout is scheduled for PC, Mac through Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mac App Store edition are due in the days afterward. The feature list includes Switch 2 support, but that does not make its rollout simultaneous.

This is a separate decision for console players: use an unmodded save when achievements matter, and accept the stated restriction before experimenting with a modded run. Check the in-game catalog when your platform receives the patch; no exact download hour or complete launch mod list is confirmed in these notes.
