Which Cyberpunk 2077 Story Jobs Hide Iconic Weapons?
The Pickup, The Heist, Ghost Town and Play It Safe each hide Iconic weapons behind a choice, a detour or a body search. Check these spots before moving on.
Four Cyberpunk 2077 story jobs are worth slowing down for if you collect Iconic weapons. Two contain pickups you can walk past; two can produce weapons from enemies only if your choices lead to those fights. This is a chronological checklist, not a ranking of the best weapons. Make the story choice you want, then search the relevant room or body before moving on.
The Pickup: Chaos depends on Royce Chaos is tied to Royce in the All Foods confrontation. If your route ends with him defeated, search his body before leaving. If he survives your version of the deal, do not expect Chaos as an automatic mission reward. That condition matters more than a guide that simply says the pistol is "in The Pickup."
The Heist: two different places in Konpeki Plaza Check the bedside area of Yorinobu's penthouse for Kongou. Satori takes another detour: inspect Saburo's AV on the roof while that route is accessible. Finding the pistol does not mean you picked up the katana. The Heist moves quickly once the escape starts, so check both places before committing to the exit.
Ghost Town: take Nash's fight for Widow Maker Panam can lead you to Nash after the main objective. If you choose to go after him, loot his body for Widow Maker. Skip that confrontation and the rifle does not simply appear as a quest completion prize, though Nash can turn up again during Panam's Queen of the Highway quest. This is a story branch, not a required fight for every V.
Play It Safe: search the room and Oda Genjiroh is in a locked side room along the route between the snipers. Check that room as you move through the area. Jinchu-Maru is a separate pickup from Oda after his encounter. One is a room search and the other is a body search; leaving after the boss without checking the earlier route can still leave an Iconic behind.
Phantom Liberty's Dogtown black-market vendor can offer some missed Iconics. CD Projekt has added specific weapons to its stock through patches, but that is not a promise that every missed item or choice-dependent reward is recoverable. If a particular weapon matters to your build, make a manual save before the job and check the relevant location while you are there.
