Cyberpunk 2077's free Edgerunners 2 update is scheduled for October 22, bringing cyberware customization and a new dual-wielding playstyle. CD Projekt Red announced version 2.5 on October 20 and will show more during an October 21 REDstreams broadcast.

The update includes content inspired by the new anime installment, alongside other items and features. For players interested in changing their combat setup, dual-wielding is the confirmed addition to watch. The brief announcement does not yet explain which weapons qualify, what perks it requires or how it unlocks.

Switch 2 follows after the October 22 rollout

CD Projekt Red names PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the October 22 release. Nintendo Switch 2 will follow shortly afterward, but the publisher has not supplied an exact date for that version.

The announcements give a release day, not a precise patch unlock hour. The REDstreams schedule below is for the preview broadcast, not the time the update becomes downloadable.

Watch the 2.5 preview on October 21

REDstreams starts October 21 at 5 p.m. CEST. That is 8 a.m. PDT / 11 a.m. EDT in the US and 4 p.m. BST in the UK. In Sydney and Melbourne, the same broadcast begins at 2 a.m. AEDT on October 22.

Watch on CD Projekt Red's Twitch channel or the official YouTube broadcast. The studio says written patch notes are also scheduled for October 21, giving players another way to check the details after the demonstration.

Cyberware customization and dual-wielding are confirmed; a complete set of options and combat rules is not included in these announcements. Wait for that breakdown before choosing a build around a particular weapon pair or assuming every customization idea will be supported.
