RuneScape: Dragonwilds is targeting Friday, September 25 for patch 1.0.0.5. Jagex's September 23 patch notice says it will remove Edit Appearance, identifying that option as the most common cause of the current save issue.

Avoid appearance edits while that repair is pending. The date remains a target: Jagex is allowing time for console verification and wants to avoid disrupting Switch 2 crossplay over the weekend.

Recovery is still being tested

Jagex is testing recovery for lost characters and worlds, but cannot guarantee success. Removing the button should not be read as a promise that a particular missing save will return.

Some recovered Custom or Creative worlds have reset to Normal. Check that category if a restored world appears to be missing.

The patch also lists repairs for corrupted console saves on modded dedicated servers, Xbox sessions with more than two players, and PS5 crashes when creating password-protected crossplay sessions.

Separate problems with Play Online while disconnected and keybind resets are assigned to later 1.0.1 work. Wait for the released 1.0.0.5 notes before treating the Friday target as a completed deployment.
