To enable Halloween in Core Keeper, return to the main menu and open Settings, then Gameplay settings. Change Override season to Halloween before loading your character and world. You can do this outside the normal Halloween period, too, without changing your computer's date.

The important multiplayer catch is who hosts the world. If you are joining a friend, their season setting takes priority over yours. Ask the host to make the change rather than repeatedly toggling it on your own machine.

Choose Halloween before loading your world

If you are already playing, leave the world first. At the title screen, follow Settings, Gameplay settings, Override season, then choose Halloween and load back in. Start with this main-menu route rather than changing the option halfway through a session and expecting every seasonal feature to switch immediately.

There are two other options worth keeping straight. Don't override season lets the calendar determine the event. Turn off seasons disables seasonal events. Neither is the same as manually selecting Halloween.

When you want the normal calendar back, return to that menu and choose Don't override season. The developer explicitly supports replaying seasonal events at other times of year, so missing the usual window does not mean waiting another year.

No Pumpkin Coins? Check for Goodie Bags

Once the event is active, some enemies wear Halloween costumes and can drop Samhain Goodie Bags. Cavelings, Caveling Shamans, Caveling Brutes and Big Larvae are among the enemies that can drop them. Fighting ordinary early slimes is not the same check.

Open the bags you collect. Pumpkin Coins are among their possible contents, alongside other Halloween rewards. Neither a bag from every enemy nor coins from every bag are guaranteed, so a short unlucky streak does not establish that the event is broken.

Check the seasonal enemies and the host setting before treating missing loot as a bug.

If you play on a dedicated server

The server administrator needs to check the world's season configuration. Your client setting cannot force a different event onto the server. Ask them to confirm Halloween is active and reload into that world afterward.

Old guides sometimes recommend Steam launch arguments for the game client. Those instructions can belong to older versions, so use the current in-game menu for a locally hosted world instead. Dedicated-server configuration is a separate case; do not assume an old client command is the right fix for your host.

Still seeing no seasonal changes after the host checks the setting and reloads? Note your game version, platform and whether the world is locally hosted or dedicated before reporting it. That is more useful than repeatedly changing the date.
